Westbrook, Maine (March 11, 2014) – In response to the success of their popular collection of Orbee-Tuff® dog toys, Planet Dog has expanded the line to include a new extra durable interactive chew toy. The Orbee-Tuff® Diamond Plate Double-Tuff® with Treat Spot® is inspired by the award-winning and globe-shaped Orbee® Ball and made from the same doggie-durable, bouncy, buoyant and mint-scented Orbee-Tuff® material. Its asymmetrical “doubled” design makes for amazingly unpredictable bounces, making it a toy that can stimulate a dog mentally much more than a standard fetch toy. The “diamond plate” design leads to extra durability for even most aggressive chewers. Last but not least, the toy’s innovative design includes a uniquely reinforced Treat Spot® that allows for interactive fun.
"Dogs love the Double-Tuff because they can grip onto it and then focus on what really makes them happy: getting at the stuff inside," says Alex Fisher, Planet Dog's Founder and Chief Creative Officer. “We challenge dog owners to double stuff the Double-Tuff every time," adds Fisher.
The Orbee-Tuff Diamond Plate Double-Tuff with Treat Spot is available in three sizes (small, medium and large) in three colors (green, purple, and silver). The suggested retail price for the 2.9” small is $8.95, $13.95 for the 3.9” medium, and $15.95 for the 4.9” large. The Double-Tuff line has a Durability rating of 5 out of 5 chompers, Planet Dog's strongest rating. Like all toys made with the Orbee-Tuff compound, the Double-Tuff is made in the USA, non-toxic, recyclable, and 100% guaranteed.
They are socially responsible too since Planet Dog donates 2% of every purchase to the Planet Dog Foundation (PDF) to support canine service programs across the country. “The Planet Dog Foundation (PDF) has surpassed the one million dollar mark for grants and product donations, and is excited to embark on the next million in giving” says Kristen Smith, PDF’s Executive Director. “Our customers and their canine companions are helping us make a difference in the lives of people with special needs.” adds Smith.
